Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Learning Experience Design Specialist

The learning experience design specialist role will make a significant contribution to helping our dedicated clinical, research and educational employees grow professionally while on the job. This specialist will play an integral role in creating learning experiences to enable employees to achieve their aspirations. They will identify needs, develop cutting edge curricula and related learning pathways to address needs, and utilize a variety of instructional strategies to make learning accessible, engaging, and impactful. An important deliverable for this job is expanding our capacity to create engaging learning experiences using new technology. This role also focuses on measuring learning transfer and impact, and supports the expansion of learning analytics. Finally, this role consults with leaders across the institution on building learning solutions for unique employee populations.

Job Responsibilities:

      • Play a major role in the design and delivery of a workforce curriculum to support professional growth throughout all areas of our academic medical institution
      • Develop innovative and value-added learning content using agile instructional design and distribution methods that best suit the content and learner profile
      • Draw from innovative learning modalities to enable wider use and access of both on-line and in-person learning, and to ensure scalability to meet global learning needs
      • Leverage analytics to understand learner needs, drive system utilization, and improve user experience
      • Utilize LMS and related technology as a means to house learning, manage learner records, create reports, and distribute training material
      • Contribute as a team member to the design and management of virtual classroom platforms
      • Deliver new employee and manager orientation and training on a periodic basis
      • Perform additional administrative and support tasks associated with execution of learning and development

 

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Masters degree in education, behavioral psychology, or related field.
Minimum of seven years of experience designing and delivering learning solutions that impact business outcomes
Strong background in instructional design
Solid grasp of adult learning and development theory and methodologies
Experience using AGILE or other related methods of instructional systems design
Experience working with learning and content management systems and instructional design tools
Minimum six months supporting virtual training via the use of WebEx Meeting, WebEx Training, Zoom, or similar platforms
Functional understanding of LMS systems and standards, and eLearning authoring tools
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency
Qualtrics (or equivalent) survey tool proficiency
Sales Force proficiency is a plus
