SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT - PROJECT MANAGER
RVE is looking for a highly motivated, creative, and collaborative team member to manage and grow our Landscape Architecture team. The successful candidate will support our municipal practice by providing site planning, and landscape design. Any applicant should have an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to create a growth vision for the practice, contribute to the overall growth of the Landscape Architecture team, and the ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Draft landscape review letters pertaining to municipal development applications
- Provide field inspection services
- Prepare site plans, concept plans, sketches and graphic representation of plans
- Collaborate/prepare illustrative renderings and presentations
- Assist with the preparation and modification of various design and engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates
- Provide Landscape Architecture services to various departments within the firm including planning, municipal, facilities, water/wastewater, infrastructure/design
- Assist with the preparation of feasibility studies, recreation plans, park master plans, trail planning/design, streetscaping/road diet assessments, pedestrian/bicycle facilities planning, concept studies, corridor plans, construction documents, and technical reports
- Provide project management, task management, team leadership, and junior staff management
- Work directly with clients to develop plans
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Landscape Architecture principles and practices
- Creativity and self-starting,
- Ability to work independently in a fast passed environment, multitask and deliver multiple projects on time and within budget
- Demonstrate a diverse range of public and private project experience with excellent design, graphic, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong writing and communication techniques, copy editing abilities
- Ability to critically analyze environmental reports, review landscaping and lighting plans for ordinance compliance
- Knowledge of computer software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Cloud. SketchUP, ArcGIS, and ArcPro. LEED certification a plus
- Strong communication skills
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & LICENSES REQUIREMENTS:
Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited college or university. 10+ years of experience in consulting and site design. Professional licensure in New Jersey required; licensure in Pennsylvania highly desired; licensure in Maryland, North Carolina, and Delaware a plus. Licensure as a NJ professional planner a plus. Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation for field visits and client meetings as required.
