Job description

Whole Foods Market is seeking a dynamic Senior Kronos Boomi Developer to join our Back Office Kronos Engineering team in Austin. You will support and maintain software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise-wide applications across WFM. You will evaluate, modify, test, and support implementation of software solutions to help meet defined business needs. You will also perform application configuration, setup, and updating. Evaluates new packages, releases, upgrades, and other changes to understand change requirements, cost implications, timings, and potential user impact. You will set up user access and trains users on application. You will also recommend changes in application development, maintenance, and system standards. You will also be evaluating and reporting on application business value added.

Whole Foods Market Engineering Back Office Systems and Support (EBOSS) is the team that designs, builds, and owns bespoke and packaged software. Our services provide business capabilities in the TMS (HR), Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Timekeeping, Labor Planning, and Legal domains across all Whole Foods Market (WFM). EBOSS owns the services knowledge workers use to support business processes and partners. EBOSS owns the productivity and collaboration tools used by Team Members in our stores and facilities. Our primary goal is delivering customer-obsessed and operationally excellent systems and services that enable WFM to nourish people and the planet. EBOSS creates win-win partnerships with third-party software suppliers. EBOSS leverages Amazon Native Technology (ANT) to develop self-service tools that empower Team Members (TM) to improve the customer experience. EBOSS builds systems and services that provide data for operational accountability and create automation for operational excellence. EBOSS provides technology evaluation and implementation to support our primary goal. Our customers include all Team Members, partner teams within WFM business and tech operations, and Amazon teams. Team Mission

EBOSS owns bespoke and packaged software that powers business capabilities in the TMS (HR), Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Timekeeping, Labor Planning, Productivity Services, and Legal domains within Whole Foods Market. EBOSS owns products and services that provide productivity and collaboration tools to knowledge workers, store, and facility Team Members. EBOSS owns the end-to-end delivery of products and services to customers where possible. Where not possible, EBOSS will create clear lines of communication, excellent mechanisms, and a shared fate of ownership with our partners.


Responsibilities Include

  • Set, promote and execute the technical Vision, strategy, and delivery of projects directly impacting Whole Foods and Amazon's systems and business strategies.
  • Partner with the Product Owners, Support, and other software teams to identify issues and design solutions.
  • Integrate and support 3rd party solutions.
  • Contribute to architecture and design of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, and services using object-oriented design and distributed programming.
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions, demonstrating significant creativity and high judgment.
  • Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices.
  • Create solutions with scalability, maintainability, performance, and integration with other components and systems in mind.
  • Engage 3rd party providers for incident escalations, project engagements, or new technology capabilities.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of the UKG Dimensions (Legacy Kronos Workforce Dimensions or Kronos Workforce Central) Advanced Scheduler, Timekeeper, Datahub modules, and Timeclocks
  • 5+ years of experience with labor management, forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, payroll, and task management systems
  • 3+ years of Dimensions Dell Boomi development experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading the development lifecycle
  • 3+ years of experience with Postman, Rest API, SOAP framework, XML, and Web service design
  • 2+ years of experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell (required) and Python (optional)
  • Certified UKG integrations developer

Skills

  • Proven deep understanding of system performance tradeoffs and engineering for high-availability
  • Deep understanding of Dell Boomi architecture
  • Experience with Agile patterns and practices.
  • Experience with modern data storage mechanisms, including working with relational and document databases where applicable.
  • Experience building systems with strong instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting
  • Experience and subject matter expertise related to building enterprise-grade back office systems
  • Experience working in and leading DevOps-enabled teams with a strong focus on automation, continuous delivery and deployment, and supporting technologies
  • Experience delivering highly secure systems working with sensitive PII and GDPR data
