Position Description:

Writes queries and pulls data from relational databases using SQL using Agile methodologies and practices -- Jira/Jira Align. Gathers business requirements and translates them into data solutions. Defines use cases and simplifies complex concepts relating to data management. Defines user stories and breaks up complex work into digestible work elements. Performs data analysis and participates in projects with diverse scope, including complex business and technical requirements in a multi-platform and highly integrated data environment. Defines and communicates sophisticated concepts of data analysis to technical and non-technical audiences. Navigates integrated enterprise data by working across multi-functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

Works on various data lakes on platforms.

Collaborates to enable data driven decision making across the Fidelity Institution.

Analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Performs systems management and integration functions.

Improves existing computer systems.

Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow, and schedule limitations.

Analyzes or recommends commercially available software.

Expands or modifies system to serve new purposes or improve workflow.

Consults with management to ensure agreement on system principles.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior IT Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) gathering business requirements, developing SQL scripts to extract complex data sets, and identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends to inform key business decisions.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior IT Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) gathering business requirements, developing SQL scripts to extract complex data sets, and identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends to inform key business decisions.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise ("DE") analyzing and prioritizing business and functional requirements using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (MS Excel), Power Point, and MySQL; and liaising with business partners to gather user requirements, and analyzing the scope, impact, and dependencies translating them to data solutions, ultimately landing in Amazon Redshift and Excel.

DE performing Extract Transform Load (ETL) on Cloud native data warehousing solutions using analytical tools (Alteryx) and programming languages (Python); building and maintaining data pipelines utilizing Python, CronTab, Linux server, and Jupyter Notebook; and creating scalable visual analytics dashboards using Tableau and Looker.

DE developing SQL scripts to extract large complex datasets and applying data quality checks to improve data quality, consistency, and integrity using PostgreSQL and PL/SQL; and performing advanced calculations on metrics, investigating key business trends, and providing actionable insights to support business growth and decisions using Alteryx and MS Excel.

DE building and automating ad-hoc and recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports to provide data-driven insights to stakeholders -- sales and digital marketing teams, using MS Excel, Alteryx, Tableau and Python; and conducting performance analysis on marketing and promotional campaigns to effectively measure the return on investment based on key indicators using Google Analytics, Facebook analytics, Spotify Analytics, and YouTube Analytics.
