What you'll do
As a Senior IT Audit Manager, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, proficiency with IT systems, and strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient audit process and compliance for DocuSign. The Senior IT Audit Manager will be responsible for planning, scoping, process managing, and performing IT audits, IT SOX, and other IT audit special projects, as well as support the business process SOX and other audit efforts. This role is an integral part of the Internal Audit (IA) leadership team and will have responsibility for supporting the design and execution of the department's strategy.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President of Internal Audit.
Responsibility
  • Be accountable for the achievement of IA's strategic goals and objectives and key results
  • Lead IT SOX and IT Audit projects to ensure high quality delivery within the respective projects
  • Present and communicate status and issues to senior management personnel including reports and presentations on project findings and recommendations
  • Provide thoughtful insights to key stakeholders regarding industry leading practices, audit standards, regulatory obligations, and contractual risks
  • Prepare and review workpapers as well as prepare final versions of internal audit reports
  • Provide technical guidance to other IA staff members and the company's personnel with respect to information technology controls (e.g., ITGC, ITAC, SSAE18 [SOC1/SOC2], IPE)
  • Communicate issues and statuses to the Internal Audit Department leadership, the company's external auditors, senior management, and the audit committee as needed
  • Employ a continuous improvement mentality to grow the maturity of the IA function
  • Coach and manage a team of in-house professionals in the execution of IT audits
  • Help manage the company's SOX co-sourcing partners and external auditors
  • Lead the overall tracking of IA projects and budget
  • Assist in preparing the Internal Audit Annual Plan
  • Lead technically focused operational audits
  • Develop close but independent working relationships with management in all areas of the business
  • Develop recommendations to improve controls
  • Monitor process and policy changes throughout an organization
  • Assist with special projects at the request of the VP of Internal Audit
  • Travel up to 25% nationally and/or internationally
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • 8+ years of experience in the areas of IT audit or technology risk compliance
  • IT SOX experience including knowledge of SSAE 18 (SOC 1/SOC 2)
  • Experience in planning engagements, leading IT audit projects, developing audit work programs, and evaluating application and IT general controls across a variety of systems
  • Experience developing reports and executive summaries on IT control issues for senior management personnel
  • Experience performing risk assessments and identifying key risks
  • Experience with auditing in an integrated systems environment
  • Manager or above experience in an Internal Audit function
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other globally-recognized security, compliance, or audit certifications

Preferred
  • Manager or Sr. Manager level experience with a Big Four or credible consulting firm
  • AuditBoard, Oracle and Salesforce system knowledge or audit experience
  • Technology industry experience
  • Solid project management discipline including vendor management, task completion and budget management

Wage Transparency
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $130,500 - $208,050 base salary
Illinois and Colorado: $123,700 - $174,700 base salary
Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $123,700 - $184,275 base salary
This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
