What We Need:
Serves as primary account manager for SPC-focused, regionally-based distributors and plays an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting and reoccurring revenue. Initiates and answers inbound and/or outbound sales calls directly from/to prospective and/or existing customers. Responds to customer questions and takes orders. Builds rapport with customers by probing for needs and recommending appropriate solutions. Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives, while ensuring the optimum customer experience and satisfaction. Accepts orders, closes sales, maintains customer records, and completes required documentation. Identifies and qualifies prospective customers, and records sales prospecting activity in computer-based tracking systems. May have an assigned product line that may overlap other sales teams' territories. May have an individual or team sales quota and is likely to have a target earnings bonus or sales incentive opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Maintain regional sales pipeline
- Achieve monthly revenue and functional metric targets
- Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure customer retention
- Form a strong relationship with outside sales teams and lead regional territory growth efforts
- Develop integrated channel plans with regional sorbent sales manager to drive growth
- Execute targeted distributor campaigns to grow SPC mindshare and share of wallet
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Provide leadership to junior Inside Sales Representatives
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams and escalate sales opportunities and customer problems to outside sales team or sales manager
- Provide training and education for distributor sales reps of tier 1 and tier 2 channel accounts
- Work with outside sales and marketing on conversion opportunities through tactical execution of competitive cross references and pricing support
- Provide project management oversight and issue resolution for large orders
- Complete training on absorbents product line for internal customers including customer service and territory managers
- Other duties as needed
What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
- Proven sales experience.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, with a major in sales or marketing preferred.
- One to two years of relevant experience in an outbound call center role with the ability to prospect, develop customer base and close sales.
- 5+ years experience in sales.
