A successful Senior Inside Plant (ISP) Designer shall be able to: design coax, copper, and fiber optic telecommunications facilities, including route design within buildings per local codes, specification of necessary equipment, the effective utilization of equipment/materials within unique network topologies and architectures; determine when and which permits and/or licenses are required and obtain when necessary. At a minimum, the position requires an extensive working knowledge of telecommunications network hierarchy; a deep understanding of communications engineering and related systems; the ability to use a computer and other office related equipment efficiently; proficiency with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, and analyze geospatial network data.
In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience:
• Subject matter expert on Outside Plant/Inside Plant (OSP/ISP) network design
• Design workflow management and ensure QA and QC processes are maintained
• Skilled analysis of geospatial data
• Train and coach OSP/ISP team member on best business practices and process improvement opportunities
• Communicate with all levels of the business including but not limited management and vendors
• Perform independently with minimal supervision, exercising latitude to achieve daily objectives

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, GIS orrelated field.
• Proficient in the use of hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, IKE, ArcMap, Ocalc Pro, CAD, ArcGIS, Google, etc.)
• Advanced proficieny in assigned function (Drafting, Designing, Make Ready, Geographic Information Systems, etc.)
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check.
