Position Summary

Directs a team of cyber security professionals with primary responsibilities aligned to the 'Identify' pillar of the NIST Cyber Security Framework. In addition, work with other cyber security leaders to reach consensus on cyber security operations and major incident response strategy.

Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Has Direct Reports

Supervises technical cyber security professionals and supports working relationships with vendors, global Parker IT, and engineering staff.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  Identify cyber risks via internal penetration testing, third-party benchmarking, and threat intelligence sources.

  Research, pilot, and implement emerging new or replacement technologies.

  Complete security reviews of new business solutions and services.

  Develop application and digital product security strategies and frameworks.

  Acquisition due diligence, cyber integration strategy, and support.

  Support the secure development of digital products and solutions.

  Contribute in natural and virtual teams to influence various IT projects and programs.

  Participate in major Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) activities.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree in information or computer science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience which has provided both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of increasingly responsible experience including seven years in a leadership role. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  Comprehensive knowledge of information technology related to specific assignments, industry practices, regulations, and overall business operations. 

  Ability to translate customer desires and projected requirements into information technology strategies and to develop solutions to customer problems. 

  Specific area of assignment may require knowledge in specific or multiple products and tools. Able to provide leadership to other team leaders and professional staff. 

  Thorough technical knowledge of software and hardware selection, implementation, and testing methodology. 

  Ability to develop improved methods and systems and to effectively assess, lead, and implement continuous improvement in critical and/or high-impact areas. 

  Knowledge of project management standards, methods and techniques, and internal budgeting and procurement processes. 

  Ability to work on and understand problems from a broad, long-term perspective. Ability to analyze and interpret complex policies and detailed technical manuals and to recommend and implement changes to procedures. 

  Ability to respond to significant inquiries from users. 

  Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, customers, and/or boards of directors. 

  Ability to effectively demonstrate team leader competencies and participate in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.
