Job Title: Senior Information Security Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 12 months contract

Job Description:

• Lead or participate in computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events.
• Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies.
• Provide security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards.
• Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security.
• Review and correlate security logs.
• Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of Information Security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Required Qualifications:

• 4 plus years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Additional Skills:

• Client is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer that will provide complex technical analysis and support of mainframe security in a large, complex Multi-LPAR RACF environment utilizing RRSF (RACF Remote Sharing Facility), zSecure, RACF/DB2 and CICS.

Required:

• 5 plus years of Information Security Engineering experience
• 5 plus years of mainframe security risk assessment and remediation experience
• 5 plus years of hands on Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) experience with at least current and supported version (z/OS 2.1 and above)
• 5 plus years of mainframe security experience using native z/OS and Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) tools
• 5 plus years of experience issuing Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) commands and performing diagnosis

Desired Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
• 5 plus years of TSO (Time Sharing Option
• zSecure tool experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

For this role, focus will be weighted towards experience/proficiency with:

• 5 tool years of JCL (Job Control Language) experience
• 5 tool years of TSO (Time Sharing Option)
• zSecure tool experience
• REXX experience
• TSO/ISPF experience
• CARLa coding experience

Pay Range: $50-55/hr. on W2
