Overview:

Based in Northern, VA, Axiologic Solutions LLC has opportunities for you to become part of our high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key federal clients. We are currently seeking an Information Technology Engineer with a Requirements Management background to provide support as required to the Desktop Requirements Team and over-arching Engineering and Implementation team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more IT Engineering disciplines to support the Requirements and Business Case Analysis team. The ability to work directly as an IT engineer and interface with multiple personnel is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial best practices and government processes from inception through to start up and certification.
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
  • Design, run, test, and upgrade systems and processes.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Perform process simulations.
  • Manage cost and time constraints.
  • Perform risk assessments.
  • Provide process documentation and operating instruction requirements.
  • Consulting Services:
  • Expert in full life-cycle support.
  • Security architecture analysis from concept through implementation.
  • Liaison between Government agencies ITEMS UFS, DCS, and EM/CSS and DIA CIO3B, C, and D.
  • Liaison between multiple government agencies Risk Management
  • Preparation of briefings for Executives on status of activities and vulnerability trends.
  • Information System Security:
  • In-depth understanding of IC Security Policy, Standards, and Procedures relating to Security Management.
  • Coordination with the DOAR, ISSMs, IAMs, SCAs, ISSOs, and ISSEs.
  • Risk Management Framework:
  • In-depth understanding of RMF controls and IC overlays.
  • Expert in processes used to allocate technical controls and follow through to operations.
  • Identification of deficiencies in allocated architectural controls.
  • Analysis of the impact resulting from architectural deficiencies.
  • Guiding efforts to correct or mitigate deficiencies.
  • Monitor and analyze new technologies.
  • Provide guidance in security engineering, primarily using IEEE Std. 1220, Information Assurance Task Force, and NIST SP 800-53

Qualifications:

  • Must have an active/current TS/SCI and ability to pass CI Poly.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or experience with a master's degree or advanced training in information technology.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience with at least of the 5 years in management consulting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, management, and organizational skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of IT Services and service provision.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong engineering background in Information Technology.
  • Demonstrable experience in Requirements Management.
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, Visio.
  • Proven work experience in Process Engineering.
  • Knowledge of process-related standards.
  • Experience in process simulations.
  • Working knowledge of Process Engineering software packages.
  • CAD or AutoCAD skills.
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.

Travel Requirements:

Travel may be required both inside and outside the Washington National Capital Region (NCR).

Level of Responsibility:

Work includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment concerning matters of administrative/operational needs.

Reporting Chain:

This position reports directly to Axiologic Solutions' assigned Task Order Lead.

Level of Supervision Required:

The supervisor sets the overall objectives and resources available. The employee plans and carries out the assignment resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interpret policy on own initiative. The employee keeps the supervisor informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate within a team environment.

Ability to type, sitting or standing, to complete work functions for hours at a time; ability to move between sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent basis.

This is a full-time position, requiring 40 hours per week on site, Monday through Friday, within the contract hours of 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
