Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of Network Security policy enforcement. This position identifies, investigates, analyzes, and remediates information security events to ensure enterprise integrity against technical and physical risks.

Duties include firewall request review, policy implementation, and service operations. Functions will include utilization of established processes and tools related to firewall rule lifecycle procedures, rule auditing, recertification, rule removals related to server decommissioning and remediation. This position participates in the communication, implementation, and reporting procedures. He/She supports the processes for technical and procedural risk management to protect UPS’s information assets. This position assists with the development and maintenance of business continuity planning, data, systems, and network security for systems and controls related to their job duties. Specific emphasis on Access Controls (Firewall policies) and Remote Access (SSE and VPN technologies).

Responsibilities

• On Premises and Cloud Firewall rules lifecycle management; including but not limited to Creation, Auditing, Recertification, and removal of unused or redundant rules.
• Process and escalation to senior management for Exceptions review and follow-up.
• Remote Access; Virtual Private Network (VPN), Secure Service Edge (SSE) and Firewall policy implementation and troubleshooting.
• Provide rule reports to other teams upon request within established guidelines.
• Management of requests for removal of firewall rules that are either expired or are no longer in use.
• Lead the weekly Firewall Rule Review Meetings with peers and Infosec leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Info Security experience, preferred.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, and automation tools, (Terraform, Ansible and Tufin SecureChange, Tufin SecureTrack).
• Experience with Google Cloud and/or Azure Cloud, Microsoft Entra (Azure ADID) desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience; including pertinent InfoSec related skills assessments such as ISC2, CompTIA or GIAC certifications.
