The position: In this position, you will manage and coordinate more complex and/or escalated incidents including, but not limited to, technical and business security incidents. This means contributing to the root cause analysis process, considering business impacts, privacy aspects and legal consequences of incidents, organizing consultations with stakeholders, managing stakeholder communication at all levels in the organization and in some cases directly with clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing and delivering incident reports and metrics.

Position in the organization: The Business Security Incident Manager is a member of the Business Incident Response Team (BSIRT) within ADP’s Global Security Organization (GSO).

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Security Incident Manager will act as a single point of contact in the Business Security Incident Response Team (BSIRT) during a reported incident and will work with the following teams: business unit management and Incident Response Teams, ADP Global Security Organization (GSO), Communications and Privacy and Legal teams to drive and ensure execution of activities within the framework of the business incident response process. 

 

The Business Security Incident Manager will need to work within the BSIRT framework and assist in making decisions based on established ADP security and privacy policies and standards with respect to incident reporting, internal escalations and internal notifications, as well as maintain, review and update the Incident Response Procedures (Playbooks/SOPs). 

 

The duties performed by the Business Security Incident Manager are instrumental in assisting ADP’s business units with meeting client service level agreements, contractual and regulatory obligations. The Business Security Incident Manager interacts extensively with, and provides consultative support and training/exercising to, a wide range of ADP associates and management on incident procedures.

 

The Business Security Incident Manager will maintain a strong working relationship with the business, products, services, IT, and GSO groups to partner in the execution of incident response activities, root cause determination and identification of applicable remedial actions. The expectation is that the Business Security Incident Manager is able to fulfill the following functions effectively and timely, at times with discretion but always with high-quality. The execution of these functions is critical to client retention, client relationship and ADP’s brand. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • 5 years of Security, Risk, Compliance or operational and business experience;
  • A background in financial services, HR/payroll, business process outsourcing;
  • Significant experience and affinity with Business Process Improvement principles and practices;
  • Fluent in English.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • You will manage an escalated incidents from start to closure:
    • You will bring together the right people across functions and countries to ensure that an incident is handled adequately.
    • You will act as a liaison between the local business and internal privacy, IT, legal and security functions.
    • You will ensure that senior management is aware of both risks and incidents and keep them updated about developing situations.
    • You will work with multiple stakeholders on applicable internal and client communications.
  • You will act as an advisor, trainer, and governor of a community of non-GSO security champions and stakeholders in the business units.
