This position is responsible for consultation pertaining to HR practices and policies for assigned client groups or specific discipline. The responsibilities could include consultation on the portfolio of HR programs and initiatives or acting as a subject matter expert for an HR discipline with the intent to ensure maximum effectiveness of the Human Resources function.
• Administer all applicable Human Resource policies and procedures affecting employees
• May function as a team leader or group participant on special Human Resource projects
• Interface with groups inside and outside the organization (other Human Resource departments, Strategic Business Units (SBUs), projects, vendors)
• Communicate and work collaboratively within the context of a globally diverse environment
• Maintain a close working relationship with discipline management to ensure that services are properly executed and the needs of the company are met
• Establish relationship with direct manager and colleagues as a discipline expert
• Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Preferred Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in HR, Psychology, Education, Business, Finance or related field, with significant experience in Human Resources
• Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, or applicable HR accreditation
• Problem solving, communication, judgment, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to provide analysis, conclusions, and recommendations
• Demonstrated ability to be discreet with confidential company and employee information
• Knowledge of cultures and cross-cultural collaboration
• Ability to build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
• Exhibit team orientation and positive relationships with all levels of employees
• Display an understanding of the company's organizational structure, corporate culture, and business objectives
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
• Broad knowledge of internal database applications for designated discipline
