SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES CONSULTANT

JOB SUMMARY:

Our client is a growing entertainment/events company based in Los Angeles, with offices in Hollywood and Orlando, Florida. We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Consultant to come in and advise on best practices and policies regarding HR, and oversee HRIS management for their growing organization.

This will be a 40+ hour/week engagement for likely 4-6+ months. This role has the potential to be fully remote, but please note if you would be willing to commute into Hollywood or Orlando for up to 2 days per week.

SENIOR HR CONSULTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct HR audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop HR strategies and initiatives to address them. Such as:
  • Updating the handbook.
  • Policy development.
  • Legal documents, disclosures, and agreements.
  • Framework for hiring, recruiting, performance reviews, and promotions.
  • Standard pay practices, mealtimes, penalties, alternative work weeks, and pay procedure for weekends.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align HR operations with the overall business strategy.
  • Develop and execute HR operational plans that support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic guidance on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to employee onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll, and HRIS management.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
  • Implement and optimize HR systems and technologies to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Build an Organizational Chart and Job descriptions for all roles.
  • Implement Job Leveling guide to have consistent job titles, pay and responsibilities across the organization.
  • Develop companywide Performance Management system.
  • Create a merit and bonus pay scheme to award/recognize top performers.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within HR operations.
  • Streamline and standardize HR processes to enhance effectiveness and reduce administrative burden.
  • Implement best practices to ensure a consistent and positive employee experience.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on conflict resolution.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Monitor and assess HR-related risks, ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement and manage programs to mitigate HR-related risks and maintain a strong ethical and compliant workplace.
  • Utilize HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Provide insights to leadership on workforce trends and recommend strategies for talent management and retention.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing HR operations team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in HR operations and leadership roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: From $80.00 per hour
