Job Summary

• The Senior HR Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing both human resources functions at the plant and the business unit leadership level. Reporting directly to the Business Unit President, this role involves strategic planning, leadership, and execution of HR operations to support the achievement of organizational goals.

• This role combines HR expertise with plant HR management responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to the overall success of the business unit. The Senior HR Manager will play a vital role in shaping the organization's culture, optimizing plant operations, and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

• Oversees and supports all recruiting working with HR associates in each facility. Works closely with Finance to assure that all positions are budgeted and all positions have been approved via the BBB position approval process.
• Analyses trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies that support the business need for continued talent in the organization.
• Develops annual yearly HR strategic plan, inclusive of training, that supports the business unit goals and objectives for growth and cost containment.
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
• Provides day-to-day HR policy and performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Oversee payroll process for all sites in conjunction with Finance and develop superuser ability in the HRIS/payroll system
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 10 years of significant HR experience.
• Bachelor's degree required
• Ability to resolve complex employee relations issues in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, training, safety, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent leadership/management ability with a focus on service leadership.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
