Senior Healthcare Data Specialist - Data Services & Analytics
The Business Analyst will work within the Division of Data Services & Analytics (DDSA) Data Quality team to gather and document project requirements in support of the intake and management of Healthcare Data.  The ideal candidate will utilize their experience and skill set to research, document, and provide insight into the management and quality of data in the NYS Department of Health's Medicaid program. Comprehensive on-the-job training and peer/supervisory support will be provided. The candidate should be able to take on new tasks and subject areas, willing to work in a team environment, and able to adjust to multiple priorities successfully.

Skills and Qualifications:
   Bachelor's degree preferred
   Strong ability to research and document standards and methodology from various existing sources.
   Interpret existing standards, guidance, business logic, and use cases to produce project requirement documentation.
   Translate technical specifications and communicate in clear manner to broad audience.
   Work independently and collaboratively in a team environment to move data quality projects forward.
   Experience creating document/report templates and documentation
   Experience coordinating meetings and producing meeting minutes preferred
   Exceptional verbal, written, and time-management skills
   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Excel, Word. Experience with SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, and Visio preferred.

Minimum Qualifications: 
5 years of experience managing/administering/reporting data
