The Senior Group Procurement Manager will be responsible to drive procurement initiatives for agreed categories to make sure that we optimize sourcing for these categories on local, regional and group level. Build analysis and use data to create and execute cost-efficient procurement operational plans and strategies. The Procurement Manager’s duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people.

What you’ll do as a
Senior Group Procurement Manager
  • Gain Category Expertise – understand the commodity, spend and the market trends.
  • Lead the procurement process from identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships and favorable terms.
  • Continuously evaluate and monitor supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Create and/or apply tools and processes to record and maintain master data.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of procurement processes.
  • Transform spend data or large databases into key insights and opportunities to decrease expenditure.
  • Monitor market trends and stay up to date on new developments and innovations in procurement processes and technology.
  • Coordinate for best practices in strategic sourcing and procurement that align with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and performance with commercial suppliers.
  • Guarantee appropriate communication, reporting and cooperation with all stakeholders.

We’re looking for a
Senior Group Procurement Manager with:
  • Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Supply Chain/Procurement or Business, preferred.
  • 5-7 years’ experience working as a as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer or Head of Procurement; in a multi division environment.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent negotiations and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Detailed experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT and Outlook)
  • Experience working independently and, in a team, setting.

Physical requirements and working conditions:
Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
  • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues.
  • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead.
  • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems.
  • This Senior Group Procurement Managerposition is located on-site in our East Longmeadow, MA facility.
