Responsibilities
  • Design and develop compelling gameplay mechanics and systems that align with the overall vision of the product.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including artists, engineers, and producers to ensure seamless integration of gameplay features.
  • Create and iterate on gameplay prototypes, ensuring they meet both creative and technical requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior Gameplay Designers, sharing best practices and driving excellence in design.
  • Conduct gameplay analysis and user testing to gather insights, identify areas for improvement, and refine gameplay experiences.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in gaming and telecommunications, and apply that knowledge to enhance the gameplay experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define gameplay goals, balancing player engagement, business objectives, and technical constraints.2

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Gameplay Designer in the gaming industry.
  • Strong expertise in designing and developing gameplay systems for both single-player and multiplayer experiences.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as C# or Python.
  • Excellent understanding of game mechanics, player motivation, and engagement strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of current trends and best practices in game design and user experience.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
