Our Tech Stack:
On our team, you would develop our front-end web application using Javascript/Typescript, HTML, and CSS and our back-end microservice architecture using python. Our systems are all built upon docker, making development and deployment straightforward and consistent. Several of our back-end services make use of PostgreSQL and MongoDB and nearly all of our APIs leverage GraphQL. The team also makes use of Git and has good CI/CD practices.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
• Has experience developing single page web applications (SPA).
• Is proficient in web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Understands principles of UI/UX design.
• Posses working knowledge of common software design patterns and principles.
• Is proficient in Python application development.
• Has experience in multithreaded and asynchronous applications.
• Is experienced in API design and implementation.
• Has a passion for learning and pushing the capabilities of technologies!
We're Especially Interested in an Applicant Who:
• Has experience with Vue.js, but experience with React, Angular or similar is acceptable.
• Is comfortable with Linux and Docker/Docker Compose.
• Has development experience with Leaflet or other GIS related systems.
• Developed and maintained microservices using Twelve-Factor principles.
• Understands and implemented GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Is Comfortable interfacing with SQL and no-SQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB and data stores like Redis.

• Design, develop, test and evaluate software programs.
• Perform novel engineering in the emerging industry.
• Solve unique problems that have real world ramifications.
• Determine purpose, application, and feasibility of software additions and adjustments.
• Coordinate engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers.
• Extensive programming skills in language of choice and ability to learn our tools: Python, Javascript, VueJS, Leaflet, Docker, Linux, and more.
• Keep abreast of new developments in the field of engineering design, methods, and applications.
• Have the opportunity to become a thought leader or mentor in our software.
• Has broad knowledge and skills in the engineering discipline. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring creativity and ingenuity.
• Responsible for defining technical approaches and tasks related to activities and projects.
• Capable of defining appropriate approaches and solutions. Able to define critical project criteria to ensure project completion.
• May act as lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers and technicians.
• Works under limited supervision.
• Contributes to the team and projects in an above average manner.
• May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
• Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
• Travel may be necessary, based on position.

Education and Experience:
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in engineering, in field related to specific position.
• Engineering with 5+ years' experience, with bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or 3+ years' experience with master's degree. or experience in lieu of education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
• Ability to apply design theory and methodology.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques is preferred.
• Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Team player who is self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
