Job Description:

Watts and Associates, Inc., a leader in the crop insurance industry, is looking for a React Front End Developer with team lead experience to join our innovative and dynamic team. In our small team environment, we highly value collaboration and a supportive culture. This role is ideal for a professional with 5 or more years of experience in front-end development, particularly with React and .NET, and who has demonstrated leadership skills in a technical setting. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in transitioning our existing .NET front end developers to React, leveraging their expertise to enhance our team's capabilities and drive innovation in our projects.

Technical Skills:

·         Advanced proficiency in React.js and a strong understanding of its core principles.

·         Experience with .NET as a backend.

·         Proven experience in leading front-end development projects.

·         Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools.

·         Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.

·         Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.

·         Familiarity with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token.

·         Knowledge of the full web development stack, including HTML5, CSS3, and build tools.

·         Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.

Responsibilities:

·         Lead the development of new user-facing features using React.js.

·         Guide the team in building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.

·         Ensure the translation of designs and wireframes into high-quality code.

·         Work with platform engineers to consume existing frameworks to support UX/UI projects

·         Optimize components for maximum performance across a variety of web-capable devices and browsers.

·         Facilitate the transition of existing .NET front end developers to React, providing training and mentorship to ensure a smooth and efficient learning curve.

·         Mentor and support team members in their professional development.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

·         5 or more years of experience in front-end development, specifically with React, including team leadership experience.

·         Must reside in the United States, preferably in the Mountain or Central Time Zones.

·         Ability to pass a background check.
