Job description

POSITION
Full-time, 40 hours per week, 9-month yearly position starting at $21.06 per hour working in Dining Services. The standard hours of work are Monday-Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm but are subject to change depending on business needs, which can include weekends. This position is represented by the Teamsters Local 320 bargaining unit.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assigns and re-assigns tasks through the shift to effectively accomplish prescribed work.
  • Trains employees on job tasks and orients employees to job area and to the facility.
  • Organizing the team to meet production standards and deadlines and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Preps food product and prepares complex recipes.
  • Completes food production record and participates in recipe file maintenance.
  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning assigned.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
At least one year of relevant experience or education in a large food operation or quantity food production to include 6 months of food preparation. High school graduate or GED. Competently read, write, and understand English. Ability to lift up to fifty pounds occasionally. Must be able to stand up for 4 hours at a time. Ability to accurately perform recipe conversion calculations. Possesses safe knife handling skills.
