Role responsibilities:
- Review of plans and technical documents, including architectural plans and Fire Protection system shop drawings.
- Ensure compliance with building and fire codes and city ordinances.
- Provides advice to a wide range of stakeholders, including design professionals, contractors and the general public.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of IFC, Building Code and National Fire Protection Agency standards.
- Interpretation of building and fire codes.
- Work cooperatively with plan review team.
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
Education and experience:
- Texas Professional Engineer license required.
- Associates degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in fire or construction related field.
- Fire Code Plans Examiner / ICC Fire Inspector preferred.
