Job description

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is the accounting focal responsible for financial reporting, the accounting processes and treasury throughout the organization. This role is responsible to lead the key functions of monthly/quarterly/annual reporting as well as treasury compliance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly close and consolidation processes to ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial statements.
  • Analyze, reconcile, and prepare month end closing entries, balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, intercompany confirmations and other formal financial reports.
  • Perform advanced asset and liability account reconciliation for areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure intercompany eliminations and compliance with transfer pricing is maintained.
  • Ensure key technical accounting policies are current and conduct accounting research on complex accounting and reporting matters.
  • Establish and maintain a US GAAP checklist to ensure the company's financial statements comply with current requirements.
  • Perform, track and ensure all critical compliance and financial covenant reporting is maintained under all credit facilities.
  • Support banking and cash management activity to ensure effective use of working capital requirements.
  • Support accurate capital expenditures for property, plant and equipment, including company leasing.
  • Lead the management of the company's portfolio of global insurance policies.
  • Lead internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Implementation of improvements/automation for accounting and/or financial models and processes.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and internal control framework for areas of responsibility.
  • Perform special projects and reporting to support the business as required.

Experience, Skills & Education:
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. General Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), and/or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and concepts, for example, general ledger, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
  • Thorough knowledge of process improvement development
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems, for example, MS Dynamics 365
  • Working knowledge of database concepts including relational database principles.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA required.
  • 5 (+) years of accounting or financial analyst experience.
  • 2 (+) years of public accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing experience a plus.

Additional Qualities Necessary:
  • Management/supervisory experience required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with all organizational levels.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Presentation skills necessary for informal settings, for example, department management and local leadership.
  • Working knowledge of K&N accounting policies.
  • Less than 10% travel.
