Summary of Role

The Senior Financial Analyst FP&A will facilitate the improvement of monthly financial operations and reporting capabilities. You will be focused on providing support to leaders and their teams with COGS and OPEX budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis. This role requires analytical skills to assist in streamlining the reporting process and increase efficiency.  You will report to Director of FP&A.

How You Will Succeed

Lead the monthly P&L close calls and prepare detailed explanation on variance vs. forecast by partnering with accounting team.

Assist FP&A team in preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packages for the Executive team, Board of Directors, and department heads. Own the analysis of the financial data, provide commentary on variances, and explain any changes from previous months.

Meet with department heads (Sales, Marketing, R&D and G&A) to discuss their financial results, including actual vs. plan and actual vs. forecast. Discuss the future forecast of their business, identify growth opportunities and cost savings monthly.

Support the annual budgeting process to develop a three-year financial plan including coordinating with department heads, the FP&A team, and executive team to manage timelines and summarize progress.

Drive the consolidation and reporting of financial results and metrics to be included in the monthly board reporting package.

Collaborate with peers to complete special projects while effectively managing multiple priorities.

Functional administrator of CPM (“Corporate Performance Management”) solution to ensure underlying data is properly synchronized with source systems (including the HR system and ERP), user access rights are correct, and reports are functioning as intended.

Support the identification and development of new value add reports/analyses in the CPM solution.

 

What You Bring

3+ years of applicable experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, analytics, or investment banking.

Expert knowledge of Excel including PowerQuery and PowerPivot.

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements, key metrics, and forecasting techniques.

Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with business partners at all levels of an organization.

A self-starter who can solve problems and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a great teammate excited to help build and grow the FP&A team.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Systems experience with NetSuite (ERP), Adaptive Planning, UKG (HRIS), or other similar systems a plus.

Technology/SaaS industry experience a plus.
