What’s the role?
At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership.
As a critical member of the Financial Solutions FP&A group, you will have the opportunity to deliver a unique blend of financial and operational analysis, financial modeling, and reporting and senior management support in a fast-paced and cutting-edge business. The ideal candidate must be detailed-oriented, motivated and possess excellent analytical, technical, financial, and operational acumen.
We’ll trust you to:
- Support the financial reporting, analysis, and planning process across a diverse set of businesses
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and effectiveness in all work outputs
- Acquire detailed understanding of operational processes and systems, including shared service resources and related cost allocations and structures
- Liaise with multi-functional groups to ensure accurate and timely production and distribution of financial statements, headcount reporting, and various management reporting
- Ensuring financial controls are in place to minimize/eliminate gaps in the accounting, reporting and overall management of key expenses
- Develop and evolve on insightful financial and operational dashboards and reporting packages and other presentations to CFO community and/or Senior Management
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of existing processes, and propose improvements to streamline the collection, use and presentation of data
- Network and collaborate effectively across functions/teams to build and enhance critical processes
- Drive and manage ad-hoc analysis/special projects to timely completion
You'll need to have:
- 4+ years of financial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related fields
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to leverage detailed data sets and succinctly translate in a simple, effective manner
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks are required
- Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals and financial management
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills
We'd love to see:
- Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
- High curiosity level and desire to learn
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
- Experience with Enterprise software applications e.g., SAP
- Experience with data visualization applications e.g., Tableau or Qlik
