Job Details

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the generation of the monthly and annual financial statements, creation of the sales and expense budget, long-term forecast, as well as any associated management discussion and analysis.
Position Purpose and Objectives:

• Conduct basic quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, forecasting and other financial projects with regular supervision.
• Unbilled revenue process and entry
• Long-term forecast
• Sales/COP budget
• Monthly/annual reporting

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Collects and analyzes financial information for the organization and/or departments in order to track the organization's progress against its financial goals. Develops financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures. Identifies causes of unexpected variance.
• Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to provide management with decision-making tools.
• Collaborates with departments to develop annual budgets.
• Develops ad-hoc analysis reports. Supports management team and department heads with in-depth analysis. Prepares presentations for management and Board of Director meetings.
• Creates, expands, and maintains professional and productive working relationships with peers and stakeholders. Works collaboratively with colleagues and fosters a spirit of cooperation in the workplace.

Education, Training and Experience:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field plus two 2-6 years finance and forecasting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Problem Solving:
Works on assignments that are moderately complex, where judgment and analysis are required to resolve problems and make recommendations.

Impact:
Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would normally require a significant amount of time and effort to fix.
Liaison:
Majority of the time will be spent interacting with internal contacts, on specific tasks may work with external contacts.
