This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to financial planning and analysis activities across the Ethicon LLC (Puerto Rico) and Cilag GmbH (Switzerland) legal entities. It requires close business partnering with strategic Supply Chain functions, including Plan, Quality, and Make. This exposure to senior leaders and cross-functional teams will provide a broad perspective on our business, enabling you to get a great end-to-end understanding of our Supply Chain operations.

To be successful in this role, you will apply financial analytics and general business expertise to drive insightful analysis and support in P&L, Balance Sheet, SOX Cycles, internal and external audits, and tax-related work. This position requires a high level of motivation, adaptability, and the ability to tackle complex analyses with minimal direct supervision, providing you with ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-end ownership of financial closing and forecasting activities, more specifically in the areas of:
    • Affiliate Gross Profit: calculation and analysis of bulk and flash sales going out of Ethicon LLC to our warehouses.
    • External Manufacturing: close collaboration with the EM/Jabil finance team to align on performance related metrics and adjustments.
    • Ownership of the Legal Entity cash flow forecast and analysis.
    • Closely collaborate with local Tax on Statutory or other requirements related to the Legal Entity.
    • Owner of Balance Sheet accounts related to the above activities, such as accounts payable, tax and others
  • Drive Compliance mindset within the team
    • Lead and/or support audit requirements, and align with various stakeholders (GS, Plant Controllers, PWC, Compliance teams) on providing required materials.
    • Ensure relevant SOP's are current and compliant.
  • Projects & Continuous Process Improvements
    • Lead process improvement initiatives and act as coordinator for standardization and automation projects within the Ethicon Principal COE scope.
    • Actively participate in and contribute to projects impacting Ethicon LLC
    • Support ad hoc finance requests and operational improvements projects.
Required:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required (preferred major in Accounting/Finance)
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant finance experience is required
  • Must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-environment, with the capability to fluently business partner across multiple levels.
  • Demonstrated attitude of changing the status quo and eagerness to optimize and streamline processes.
  • Excellent in analytical work, comfortable navigating and distilling big datasets into a comprehensive narrative.
  • Strong Excel skills, affinity with SAP are required
• This position will be located in either Guaynabo, Puerto Rico or Zug, Switzerland and may require up to 10% travel.

Preferred:

  • Any experience with advanced analytics (Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau) are considered an asset.
