Job description

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a general management consulting firm, widely regarded as a global leader in business strategy consulting. BCG partners with clients in solving the hardest problems challenging their businesses-and the world. We do this by channeling the diversity of our people and their thinking, as well as our shared commitment to uncovering the truth. The solutions we develop in partnership with our clients transform not just companies but also entire industries and even segments of society.
POSITION SUMMARY:
BCG is seeking an experienced editor to join its Breakthrough Thinking editorial team. Breakthrough Thinking will be a new branded editorial offering built in partnership with BCG Henderson Institute (BHI). It will showcase the best of BCG's forward-looking ideas emerging from BCG's research centers, practice areas, and BCG X. In addition, the Breakthrough Thinking editorial team will create original content with its own research capability and commission content from external experts. It will have a magazine-like personality.
Formats on the platform will vary and evolve over the time, and may include articles, research reports, videos, podcasts, infographics, and live events, among others. The content will cover a wide range of themes and business topics targeted to a C-suite audience.
The Senior Editor will have three primary roles:
  1. Conceive and manage the development of original editorial features that showcase BCG insights on topics of high interest to global leaders.
  2. Provide top or developmental editing to expert-written content from BCG and external authors.
  3. Shape and help to manage and develop the ongoing content pipeline

You will work closely with the Executive Editor and the Editor-in-Chief and the broader BCG content studio, marketing leadership, BCG senior thought leaders, BCG Henderson Institute, and external experts.
