If you are a Senior Facilities Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Chanhassen, MN location, you will provide technical support and leadership to create and maintain a world class environment that supports innovative products and technologies to meet the needs of our customers.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE: 

  • Apply continuous improvement with a focus on safety, reliability, sustainability and cost.
  • Develop space plans and layouts for office and manufacturing space.
  • Assess the capacity and health of building utilities.
  • Recommend and lead capital improvement projects
  • Partner with EHS on IH matters, safety investigations and regulatory compliance
  • Partner with procurement on material purchases and vendor selection 
  • Provide technical guidance to the maintenance staff

You're a positive individual who communicates and relates well to individuals of different roles, levels and backgrounds.  You navigate effectively through complex, dynamic and ambiguous situations. You're able to correctly diagnose the problem and utilize data and experience to recommend a solution.  You enjoy variety and can remain focused on many tasks and projects.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED: 

  • BS in engineering or science field.
  • 4+ years of related work experience.  
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Proficiency in basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: 

  • Leading teams; Project Management, Lean Construction / LPS
  • Building automation system and lighting controls
  • High purity water, pre-treatment systems and compressed and cryogenic gasses.
  • Manufacturing industry
  • Multi-site campus
