As a Senior Facilitator - LEAN you will be responsible for deploying and executing strategic continuous improvement initiatives. You will align activities with the organization's strategic objectives and leads projects and programs to drive sustainable business results. You will facilitate kaizens, conducts data analysis, identifies root causes and develops sustainable solutions based upon the PDCA approach. You will coordinate with production, operations, customer service and other functions to implement programs. You will develop and conduct training for LEAN leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist development of complex LEAN initiatives with input from process owners.
- Manage development and the execution of the implementation strategy through full deployment across branch, DC network, and operating groups.
- Assist in executive and board level updates.
- Facilitates high profile Kaizen events, and follows up on outcomes.
- Mentor Vice Presidents and directors on role as leaders and promoters of LEAN to foster improvement culture.
- Promote and supports LEAN self-sufficiency via application of the LEAN toolkit.
- Assist in the development of LEAN leader through personal example, coaching, mentoring, and training.
- Promote out-of-the-box thinking and generate new ideas to improve processes, service, efficiency, inventory, cost and space.
- Creates an environment to ensure teamwork, empowerment, and employee development among team employees.
- Leads continuous improvement and problem solving events in cross-functional team settings.
- Selects and utilizes appropriate LEAN tools.
- Aligns activities with corporate goals around safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Performs root cause analysis on gaps, rigorously identifies waste and works with leadership to drive sustainable corrective action.
- Develops training and standardized tools for green and yellow belt coaching through certification.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Technical or related required, MBA preferred
- 5 years required, 7 years preferred experience with a company recognized for their continuous improvement and LEAN culture.
- 3 years required, 5 years preferred exposure to LEAN through an extensive course curriculum, certification and practical experience in an organization with a successful LEAN track record.
- 3 years required, 5 years preferred in a LEAN transformational environment where the organization was in the developmental stages of LEAN.
- Strong track record of accomplishments-able to articulate in this area.
- Solid project management skills/kaizen event experience -from initiation through full implementation.
- Strong process-oriented and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent PC skills, to include proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to travel on a 30-50% basis.
The expected salary range for this role is $77,100 - $104,000. This is the salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's compensation level within the range will be based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location, experience, relevant education, qualifications, skills, organizational needs, and performance. This position may be eligible to participate in the company's incentive plan.
