Our client currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Technical Consultant in our Lafayette office located in Lafayette, LA.

Job Overview

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle which includes estimating, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of application developed for our clients. As a member working in a team environment, you will take direction from solution architects and Leads to development activities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
• Ensuring that the technical software development process is followed on the project, familiar with industry best practices for software development.
• Develop applications in a variety of languages
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt and work with team members of various experience levels.

Qualifications

• Can write advanced SQL statements to interact with a database
• Experience in profiling source and raw data
• Can define the transformation logic of data from business requirements
• Experience working in Windows and Linux development environments
• Experience in Bash, Batch, Python, and/or PowerShell a plus
• Previous project experience in existing ETL tools such as SSIS, ODI, Talend, Pentaho, Datastage, Informatica, etc.
• Be able to read, analyze and digest what a business wants to accomplish with its data and design the best possible process around those goals
• Strong analytical skills demonstrated by the ability to receive and analyze requirements and propose a suitable solution that adheres to the client's methodology
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, writing, analytical, problem-solving, and information gathering skills along with troubleshooting abilities.
