Scope of Work
LIPA is looking to enhance the alignment of budget planning with the development and review of op-erational work plans. The purpose of this project is to provide improved visibility to budget develop-ment processes and decision making, centralized budget calculations, data analytics and forecasting capabilities, spend optimization, and budget control.
The objective of this project is to replace existing tools and manual processes with an Enterprise Plan-ning and Budgeting System that provides increased transparency, collaboration, end-to-end budget vis-ibility, and streamlined budget planning and development activities and functions:
• Improve efficiencies by reducing manual processes
o Actuals from FIS loaded to templates automatically
o Preliminary Budget pre-seeded using historical actuals
o Date movement across Budget Templates automated
o Aggregation of data automated in Planning
• Improve efficiencies by implementing enhanced business processes
o Centralized control forms
o Standard Budget process
o Standard calculations and controls across organization
o Robust support of What-if analysis
• Improve Budget analysis capabilities
o Shift from collecting/collating data to more data analysis
o Allow for enhanced future forecasting
o End-to-end budget visibility
o "What-if” capabilities for budget modeling
Senior Enterprise Application Architect (EPBCS):
• Responsible for authoring the design document and developing overall Application Architecture, data flow architecture and design of cloud applications
• Responsible for creating, documenting, and implementing scalable solution design and imple-mentation plans.
• Provides technical expertise and hands on implementation work during critical project mile-stones.
• Lead Planning design sessions and own the architecture and design of aggregate solution.

• Lead developer during the build phase across all Planning applications, with responsibility of QA on other developer's activities
• Deliver high level solution architecture and Translating requirements into technical design.
• Own and deliver Hyperion Cloud applications (i.e. Financial, Workforce, Projects & Capital) and management of reporting solutions
• Responsible for Hyperion cube development, updates, maintains calcs/formulas and mainte-nance. Creates outlines, load rules, calcs and formulas for onboarding new cubes.
• Maintains Hyperion/Essbase automation scripts. Maintains error and build logs backups. Pro-vides assistance to the business users during the monthly financial outlook process, troubleshoot-ing issues and solving problems.
• Maintains data mappings from Hyperion to other applications. Creates and maintains the data flows required by Hyperion applications. Maintains Hyperion applications in compliance with SOX requirements.
• Develops and implements new reporting and analytical processes for Planning and Essbase using ad-hoc and Hyperion Financial Reporting. Troubleshoots technical issues and configures, tunes, and troubleshoots Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications.
• Ensures monthly Planning and Forecasting processes run smoothly. Maintains, enhances and troubleshoots Hyperion business rules and calculation scripts.
• Builds, maintains, and troubleshoots SmartView ad-hoc reports and templates. Maintains Ad-ministrator documentation for all customizations and extensions.
• Performs analysis, design, development, testing and debugging of computer software. Install, upgrade and supports major commercial packages and custom build systems.
• Implement capabilities applying services based on SOAP, REST, JSON and other interfaces. Interact daily with all levels of users and management to get requirements to design and imple-ment. Establish documentation on interfaces and maintain runbook.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Technical experience in Hyperion Technologies (7+ overall Hyperion Cloud or On-Premise ex-perience):
• Prior implementation experience of multiple Hyperion Planning and Essbase projects and expe-rience with Hyperion Cloud a plus. Ability to elicit and document requirements, provide day to day support of the business users and support multiple budget cycles.
• Experience in Enterprise Application development, and/or architecture design and development.
• Experience with mobile, social, big data, and cloud capabilities.
