We are looking for a Senior Engneer (m/f/d) Engine/ Powertrain Reliability be part of our works motorsport team in Cologne, Germany.

Main job tasks and responsibilities:

  • Reliability development and approval of ICE powertrains and sub systems in close cooperation with internal and external experts.  
  • Responsible for the powertrain validation and inspection program, including planning and coordination, analysis, documentation, follow up and reporting. 
  • Work out and definition with the team of system and component reliability test pattern and the relevant validation criteria. 
  • Failure root cause analyses  
  • Data analysis and build up of data base.
  • Planning, executing and follow up of reliability tests on transient test bench and track.
  • Development and definition of test procedures, limit setting and definition of specifications and strategies.
  • Professional mechanical engineering knowledge and experience for state of the art powertrain/engine development.
  • Planning and participation of race and test events worldwide.
  • Proven ability with minimum 3 years of working experience in the related field.
  • Support the development of control functions for reliability requirements.
  • Good knowledge and experience with relevant measurement and analysis tools.
  • Definition of technical requirements according relevant standards and regulations.
  • Management and coordination of project or tasks.
  • Documentation and reporting.
  • Representing TGRE to outside and within the Toyota group

 

 

A successful candidate has:

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant engineering discipline and have a minimum of 3 years working experience.
  • Expertise in metallurgical structures, processes as well as failure mechanism   
  • Experience in practical work and used engine parts aspects. 
  • A flexible approach combined with a high level of determination and creativity within strict time deadlines.
  • Good English written and spoken, excellent team player and good communication skills as well as a positive attitude towards flexible working hours.
