Shipt, Inc. seeks a full-time Senior Engineer based in San Francisco, CA. The Senior Engineer is responsible for overseeing, operating, and supporting Shipt database systems. Req: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 3 years related experience managing databases by actively monitoring and carrying out daily health checks. Must also have 18 months of experience with each of the following: (1) working on SQL query optimization, buffer tuning, backup, and recovery; (2) performing database installation, design, optimization, configuration, security, upgrade, and schema changes; (3) developing SQL stored procedures, SQL triggers, SQL joins, and SQL views on databases; (4) designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining software for datastore security infrastructure on AWS for Postgres and MySQL Instances; and (5) utilizing the following technologies: Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, AWS, Azure, Bash, Python, and Linux. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. This position is hybrid. A candidate may work from the company’s San Francisco address or from the candidate’s home address, which must be within commuting distance, as authorized by a manager.
