A Senior Embedded Software Engineer job in Platteville, WI is currently available at Belcan. We are seeking a talented Software Engineering professional to join our exciting team with focus on aerospace embedded systems. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, and a minimum of 10 years of experience within the aerospace industry or other highly regulated industry experience.
Job duties:
Candidates will be involved in leading and providing oversight for various Software Engineering tasks including:
· Development of software plans
· Software requirements decomposition, analysis, definition, and traceability
· Software design and development and lead/conduct design reviews
· Software analyses, requirements-based testing, and structural coverage analysis
· Candidates are expected to mentor junior engineers and help establish team growth.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering, computer engineering, computer science or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
· 10+ years software development/integration experience - preferably with aerospace embedded systems
· 3+ years software requirements and design development
· Fully proficient in C programming including architecture and board support packages
· Preferred software experience in C++ and Python
· Ability to deal with ambiguity, to be adaptable, to work across multi-discipline teams, and to drive results
· Certification process understanding DO-178C
· Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a required
Desired Skills:
· Software experience in MATLAB/Simulink and SCADE
· Regulatory experience: DO-178B/C

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $90,000 to $130,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
