​​POWER CHIEF ENGINEER​

Illuminate USA, a new standalone joint venture established by two global leaders in renewable energy, is building one of the largest solar panel manufacturing factories in the Western Hemisphere. This 1.1 million-square-foot factory is currently in the advanced stages of preparation in the Columbus, Ohio area. Job Summary:

We are currently looking for a Senior Electricianfor our new factory in Columbus, Ohio.

This power chief engineer designs, develops, evaluates, and deploys manufacturing equipment, devices, and systems. Through systematic technical management methods, lead team members in planned maintenance, upkeep, and modification of the factory power system. Ensure equipment operates safely, stably, and at low cost, guaranteeing the company's stable production and operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, construction, and framework development of the factory's power operation and management system. Prepare internal audit plans and collaborate with departmental managers in executing internal audit activities.
  • Ensure the operational effectiveness of the plant's power system, while also supervising and auditing the adherence to all controlled system documentation.
  • Set organizational objectives and design a comprehensive performance management system.
  • Optimize the organizational structure and framework specific to the factory's power system.
  • Design and oversee the execution of training programs, focusing on the empowerment and skill enhancement of the factory power personnel.
  • Lead coordination efforts during power equipment emergencies, ensuring timely and effective responses.
  • Drive continuous improvements in factory management, maintenance processes, and overall operational standards.
  • Establish a robust operational safety framework. This includes conducting safety training, organizing regular safety audits, issuing corrective directives, and monitoring the outcomes of implemented safety measures.
  • Manage technical documentation related to power system equipment, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as directed by the department head.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Production Safety Laws, proficiency in project management, experience with power equipment and energy management, and strong team management skills.
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical, mechatronics or automation related field.
  • over 5 years of experience in power management positions within large enterprises, and over 8 years of experience in power operations in manufacturing plants.
  • Extensive experience in factory construction management, having managed teams of 40 or more.
  • Strong experience of electrical power systems, HVAC system, compressed air system.
  • Strong Knowledge of production safety required.
  • Related vocational certificate required.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong learning ability demonstrates curiosity and openness to learn new things.
  • Strong sense of ambition, self-motivation, and self-discipline.
