Position Summary
EBI Consulting is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health and safety consulting services to biotech companies, pharmaceutical companies, research facilities, health care institutions, educational institutions, and diversified manufacturers. The ideal candidate will have a background in OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance, environmental health & safety program development, Industrial Hygiene, and compliance auditing.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of EHS/IH Services, and this will be a work from home position, with approximately 30% nationwide travel, the majority of which will be in the Northeast. Candidates should have prior experience working from home and traveling to client sites and be excited to continue under this model moving forward.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing health and safety programs for various clients.
- Assess existing health and safety programs in client settings to reduce potential incidents, injuries, and workplace exposures to chemicals and physical job hazards.
- Conduct industrial hygiene assessments at client sites including evaluation of chemical, noise, and radiation exposure monitoring.
- Conduct detailed health and safety audits with emphasis on achieving compliance to meet State and Federal OSHA requirements.
- Provide clients Environmental Regulatory Compliance services included air permitting, wastewater permitting, SPCC plans, NPDES submittal, SWPPP, hazardous waste management, Tier II reporting, TRI reporting, compliance auditing and more.
- Perform duties as the EBI Corporate Health and Safety Manager.
- Manage a profit & loss statement
- Communicate with clients to understand their compliance issues and develop scopes of work and budgest to deliver solutions
- Manage, mentor and direct project staff to fulfill work scopes
Qualifications and Capabilities
- Bachelor's of Science in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Safety Management, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science required
- 8+ years of progressive professional work experience in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
- Required to have and maintain one or more of the following certifications and/or registrations: CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHSP (Certified Healthcare Safety Professional) and/or PE (Professional Engineer).
