Safal Partners seeks a full-time, detail-oriented Senior Associate with strong communication and project management skills. This person will primarily support the initiatives within the Education Practice and work closely with Project Directors (PDs), Project Managers (PMs), and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on technical assistance (TA) development and implementation. The ideal candidate for this position is collaborative, creative, and capable of multi-tasking and working with tight deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create or contribute to developing high-quality TA products and presentations, including PowerPoint visuals, desk aids, and other materials. This requires synthesizing and prioritizing key information, and clearly communicating project priorities, promising practices, outcomes, and progress.
- Collaborate with communications lead and publications team to ensure high-quality, accurate, accessible, and post-ready deliverables.
- Collaborate with SMEs to develop and disseminate online surveys and work with data and communications teams to collect and publish results.
- Assist clients and SMEs in capturing qualitative data through virtual meetings, focus groups, etc., analyzing and translating feedback into clear, actionable, and project-aligned data, recommendations, etc.
- Monitor and respond quickly to incoming TA requests, questions, and grant/contract needs via email, Microsoft Teams, and Smartsheet tracker.
- Assist PM with client and partner meeting coordination and preparation. During meetings, you will be required to be on camera, assist with facilitating presentations, share screens, and capture detailed notes with clear synthesis of stakeholder takeaways and action items.
- Track the progress of and follow up with internal and external stakeholders on project milestones, data collection, reporting, and deliverables.
- Collect and analyze data to assist with grant program reporting.
- Request, compile, and synthesize programmatic information to assist with client meetings and project leadership teams, including NLN Steering Committee, state technical assistance plans, and reports to be generated as part of the overall grant/contract strategy and requirements.
- Provide relevant subject matter expertise and assist other Safal project teams with projects if/as needed.
- Contribute to the growth of the Education Practice through business development activities, including proposal writing.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience in k-12 education programs, legislation, policy, and practice within the state of Texas. Federal-level experience is an added benefit.
- Experience working with state education agencies highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in developing high-quality content from idea to final publication.
- Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders to collect information and develop digital content.
- Experience supporting large-scale project management work preferred.
- Experience facilitating virtual meetings, including interactive presentations (i.e., breakout rooms, polling, etc.) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing positive, trusting relationships with coworkers and clients for optimal task execution.
- Superior problem-solving and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to interact, communicate, problem-solve, and present ideas while managing work on multiple, concurrent workstreams.
- High level of organization, versatility, conceptual/visual ability, and originality.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
