Equipment FinanceSenior Documentation Specialist is responsible for all aspects of documenting and closing Equipment Finance transactions. The role directly impacts the bank's ability to meet manage risk and regulatory requirements through the timely preparation, review and analysis of lease/loan agreements and account documentation.

  • Proficient understanding of lease and loan documentation and the closing/funding process.
  • Ability to work independently and resourcefully across the full organization to ensure efficient and appropriate outcomes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills both within the organization and client facing as necessary
  • Active member of the deal team to ensure that policy, compliance and regulatory matters necessary for closing are addressed early in the process
  • Promptly and accurately determines all underwriting, pricing and/or equipment management approval conditions for funding have been satisfied
  • Ensure perfected security interests in the financed assets are obtained.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all material terms of a transaction are accurately documented in accordance with the credit approval including pricing, term and structure of each transaction
  • Manage post-closing activities to ensure all documentation is complete and properly filed.
  • Participates in the design, development, implementation, and management of core processes.
  • Improves operational methods and workflows by identifying, recommending process improvement opportunities.
  • Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.

Qualifications:
  • Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - In-depth.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
