Senior Dining Services Coordinator

The DuPage Senior Citizens Council/Kane Senior Council (DSCC/KSC) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), volunteer-driven organization committed to the well-being, socialization, and health of seniors. DSCC/KSC is the designated Meals on Wheels and Senior Dining provider in DuPage and Kane County.
DSCC/KSC is looking for a Full-Time Senior Dining Services Coordinator to manage Senior Dining Services in DuPage & Kane County. Responsibilities include managing daily, weekly, and monthly activities, ensuring overall coordination within the Senior Dining Services, and serving as a liaison between DSCC/KSC and Senior Dining host locations including restaurants and banquet facilities.
Senior Dining Services Coordinator Responsibilities/Tasks
- Manages daily, weekly, and monthly activities for 10 – 14 Senior Dining host locations including conventional, restaurants, and banquet facilities
- Ensures overall coordination within the Senior Dining Services; tracks the service performance and participates in the budgetary process
- Supports Site Managers by conducting in-person visits to locations and through phone contact
- Approve and schedule outside vendors for Senior Dining Activities
- Works cooperatively and maintains relationships with key staff at all host locations, restaurants, and banquet facilities.
- Implements start-up phase at each new Senior Dining location
- Supports the purchase of equipment for locations
- Maintains maintenance/repair log for the nutrition department equipment
- Schedules equipment maintenance and repairs for all nutrition department equipment
- Coordinates and implements field staff training
- Gathers data and prepares reports
Job Benefits
- $47,000 - $52,000 ($23-$25) Hour Commensurate with experience

Qualifications
- College Degree relevant to the position or equivalent work experience to the position
- Minimum of 4 years of applicable food service experience.
- Supervisory experience is a must
- Position requires a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Must have an acceptable driving record
Skills/Experience Desired
- Knowledge of human nutrition and its relationship to health and disease
- Strong organizational, communication, research, project management, writing skills, PC pro?cient, and Microsoft software
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public at large
- Ability to interact well with older adults.
