Your Impact
We are a team building and maintaining the largest Medicare data warehouse that contains beneficiaries' demographic, enrollment, and claims data using the HL7 FHIR standard. We are responsible for the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of core infrastructure components utilizing native Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies. Your work in building automated, resilient, scalable, and secure systems enables Medicare enrollees to share their health information with their doctors and view all their Medicare health records in one place. You will directly impact the quality of healthcare that over 65 million Medicare enrollees nationwide receive.

This position is 100% remote. Our entire team is remote across the United States, from the West Coast to the East Coast. There will never be a return-to-office, as we have none!
This position's published base salary range is between $125,000 and $160,000 annually, plus generous benefits (e.g., For People pays 100% of Gold-tier employee health insurance premiums) and annual company profit sharing.
Your Opportunities
- Manage and optimize the core cloud infrastructure components of our Medicare HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) data warehouse on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Improve CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of software updates and enhancements, reducing downtime and ensuring smooth releases
- Implement robust security measures and compliance standards, including HIPAA, to safeguard sensitive healthcare data and ensure regulatory compliance
- Establish proactive monitoring and alerting systems to identify and address infrastructure issues promptly, minimizing service disruptions for third-party applications
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code principles to define and maintain infrastructure configurations, enabling rapid provisioning, version control, and reproducibility of infrastructure components
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and best practices
You Bring
- A humble and caring attitude
- Expertise in managing and optimizing AWS cloud infrastructure, with a strong command of AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, Terraform, Packer, and Ansible
- Familiarity with healthcare data security, HIPAA compliance, and the HL7 FHIR standard
- Knowledge of operating monitoring and alerting systems and handling incident response
- Proven communication and teamwork skills
