Senior Software Engineer - State Platform
Join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in building and enhancing top-tier software services for the K-12 Education market. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design, delivery, and maintenance of web applications catering to thousands of districts across North America.
As an essential member of our software development team, your responsibilities will span full-stack development and active participation in system design processes. We are seeking an ideal candidate with a robust background in back-end development, emphasizing expertise in data modeling and software architecture.

Preferred Technologies:
- C#.

- MVC application architecture.

This senior-level position entails acting as a technical leader, requiring autonomy and self-direction. You will be a key contributor to application development, sprint planning, and providing guidance on best practices and architecture for both new and existing systems.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to recommend product direction and align technical objectives with the company's vision.
- Actively participate in agile processes, leading system design, prototyping, and implementation.
- Engage closely with Product Owners and cross-team collaborators to comprehend business context, product requirements, and contribute to the evolution of product capabilities.
- Lead by example as a technical leader, providing supervision and guidance to fellow team members.
- Assist in architectural design and spearhead the implementation of new and existing software components.
- Champion continuous improvement of standards, processes, and quality.
- Take ownership of project delivery.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of software development experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
- Expertise in software engineering practices with advanced knowledge of programming languages.
- Proven experience in creating and maintaining databases.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong background in technical leadership, demonstrating a willingness to take charge of software engineering.
- Team-oriented software engineering experience with a focus on best practices and fundamentals (source control, unit testing, monitoring, CI/CD, 12-factor apps, SOLID, etc.).
- Knowledge of system frameworks including .NET, MVC, and Angular.
