Job Summary:

The Senior Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing quality support services to various groups in a fast-growing pharmaceutical company. This is a hands-on role requiring the ability to handle various problems with expertise and exceptional judgment while working with end-users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide responsive support for end users with deskside & walk-up support issues for PCs, network printers, video conference equipment, & other local IT hardware & software packages
• Troubleshoot and diagnose a wide variety of issues, assess and understand user needs and provide resolution and recommendations.
• Responsible for initial configuration of end user systems.
• Function as a primary support resource for the organization, respond to help desk tickets and track and resolve user issues.
• Maintain and update issues and technical documentation.
• Assist with Onboarding and Offboarding processes and perform the process according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure routine software updates and upgrades are being installed and maintenance tasks performed as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software to assist with lifecycle management.
• Must be detail oriented and possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to work a standard weekday schedule with occasional on-call and after-hours support.

Preferred Skills:

• Firm understanding of Active Directory Administration
• Windows 10, Windows 11, and Office 365 Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
• Basic Office 365 Administration
• Operating System Deployment
• Network troubleshooting skills
• Familiar with laptop and desktop hardware and peripherals
• PowerShell
• Functional knowledge of one or more IT infrastructure fundamentals (e.g. basic networking skills, server, identity and access)
• Relevant Microsoft Windows certifications are desired but not required

Pay & Benefits:

The hourly pay for this position ranges from $35.00 to $40.00 depending on relevant skills, experience, and education.
