Who We’re Looking For
As a Senior Design Strategist at i3 Product Development, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to integrate design strategy and research into our product development process. Our ideal candidate is creative and outgoing with experience designing and executing strategy and research protocols and managing multi-disciplinary new product development projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are highly organized, adept at communicating with both highly technical and non-technical audiences, and value deep collaboration with your peers. Responsibilities
- Design Strategy Leadership | Develop and lead design strategy initiatives, aligning business objectives with design goals, and ensuring that design efforts contribute to overall project success.
- User-Centered Research | Conduct in-depth user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
- Competitive Analysis | Analyze market trends, competitors, and industry best practices to inform design strategy decisions and identify opportunities for differentiation.
- Design Thinking Workshops | Facilitate design thinking workshops and ideation sessions to generate innovative ideas and solutions that address complex challenges.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration | Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design strategy into the product development process.
- Prototyping and Validation | Collaborate with UI/UX designers to develop prototypes and validate ideas with stakeholders and end-users.
- Strategic Recommendations | Provide actionable design recommendations based on research findings and design principles, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as demonstrated by a strong portfolio showcasing successful design strategy projects and user-centered research with a proven ability to use human-centered insight to answer business questions.
- Mastery of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including research scope and design.
- Proficiency in design thinking methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a compelling storytelling style.
- Knowledge of business strategy, market analysis, and product development processes.
- Experience leading a team on concurrent projects.
