WHAT TO EXPECT

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Denver office, we are seeking an experienced Senior Demand Planner - Global Mobility

  • This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be will be responsible for implementing, developing, managing and leading the consolidated demand forecast across globally assigned financial channels and end market segments while contributing input on continuous improvement opportunities to the process!
  • Your fit in the organization will be reporting into the Marketing & Commercial Planning for Global Mobility, working with our Regional Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Operations teams globally to ensure forecast, budget, and long term planning data is accurately reflected.
  • This position is vital to Gates because you'll be developing an 18-36 month rolling demand forecast for the Global Mobility Team through data management/analysis; translating sales based data into product line based demand for supply use and future capacity planning!

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Leading organizational adaptation, education, process implementation, process management, and tool development for demand planning within the Global Mobility Team
  • Performing process lead responsibilities in implementing effective methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and achieve target levels
  • Owning demand planning process, working with sales leaders and teams to transform vision of simple sales forecasting into robust/actionable demand planning
  • Coordinating with sales, marketing, and supply chain leadership to ensure support and ownership of the demand plan process and outputs
  • Leading monthly demand plan presentation as group spokesperson to Global Mobility Team coordinating with Regional Leadership within the forecasting cycle
  • Identifying areas of process improvement within demand planning
  • Providing root-cause and corrective action analysis on demand forecast accuracy misses
  • Working with Mobility FP&A, Supply Chain, & Gates Corporate Finance teams aligning the financial forecasts and budgets with real demand projections
  • Acting as the key contact in the annual budgeting process and long range financial forecasting aligning the consensus demand plan with strategic goals and targets, while identifying variances where necessary
  • Standing in as key contact for the Global Mobility commercial team during inventory/service level status meetings with Supply & Operations team

ABOUT YOU

  • BA/BS in business or equivalent business experience
  • 5+ years of demand planning, supply chain, product management experience, or marketing experience
  • Proven business, market, data analyst or market research experience
  • Building strong collaborative relationships with sales and marketing executives and teams
  • Experience with Statistical Forecasting, ERP and/or BI systems
  • Experience with Oracle Demand Management Cloud preferred
  • Very Strong experience using Microsoft Excel, Access and Power Point tools
  • Experience working effectively with senior-level executives
  • Experience in Original Equipment Manufacturing or Industrial Distribution, B2B markets, 2 step/3 step distribution models preferred
  • Experience in competitive intelligence, project management, and high growth situations
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin a plus (Not Required)
  • Function effectively in office-based work environment 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • Full-Time
