- z/OS DB2 administration - THIS IS A MUST
- Installing/migrating DB2 and IBM or third party DB2 related products.
- Experience with SMPE
- Experience with data sharing
- Experience with DR (restoring DB2 and products).
- Application of maintenance to DB2 and related products
- Experience with TLS/SSL Secure Client server
- Configuring DB2 Connect
- Establishing connection to security products RACF or ACF2
- Experiencing tuning DB2 systems.
- Ability to produce performance reports of how the sub system is performing.

Job Description:
- You will be instrumental in providing IBM Mainframe technical solutions and support that tightly align with our client's desired outcomes.
- You will be part of a high-performance team of technical professionals who work together in the day-to-day administrative and support functions of our client's DB2 databases, primarily at a bank in Latin America.
- You will participate in project-related activities while interacting closely with the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, creating, implementing, maintaining, tuning, and supporting DB2 databases on z/OS.
- Working with application development teams to install and migrate releases, support execution of data fixes, define new and execute databases recovery functions, definition, and execution of standard database tuning procedures.
- Managing database security, access controls, and user permission.
- Ensuring database integrity, availability, and monitoring the performance of the database.
- Perform intermediate to advanced tasks related to database design and implementation, operation and recovery, security and auditing, distributed connectivity, performance, installation, and migration/upgrades specific to the z/OS operating system.
- Capable of addressing all questions regarding DB2 of z/OS systems
- Respond to escalated problems in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring Service Level Agreements are met.
- Attempt to reproduce reported problems, identify, and provide immediate workarounds to overcome problems.
- Document resolutions to reported problems.
- Identify product and documentation deficiencies and make suggestions for improvement.
- Analyze and resolve problems escalated within the organization.
- Work with clients to define requirements for enhancement requests.
- Contribute to qualifying and assessing client's expectations.
- Follow up with clients to perform fixes and to confirm resolutions.
- Documentation and knowledge administration.
- Ticket and queue management of Incident, Problem and Change Management.
