Support and maintain ETL processes utilizing your SQL development, SQL Server administration and SSIS skills. Design and develop new data marts to support business functions for both internal and external Insurance clients. Use Tableau to turn the data into client facing portals which help drive their business growth. Experiment and explore with new Amazon technologies to include Redshift, Glue and Sage maker. We will count on you to:
- Create and maintain Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) procedures in T-SQL
- Develop end user reports using reporting and business intelligence tools like Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Tableau
- Follow the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), specifically Scrum and Agile methodology
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Assist with schema design and code reviews
- Proactively and regularly make recommendations for system improvements
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
- Self-motivated and with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Designing database tables and structures
- Creating views, functions and stored procedures
- Writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other applications
- Maintaining data quality and integrity
What you need to have:
- Must have 5+ years of experience in design and building complex OLTP SQL Server database T-SQL queries and maintaining database objects. (Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2017/2019)
- Experience with performance tuning, stored procedures, triggers and other SQL Server-related objects
- Experience with a source control system (TFS/GIT)
- Experience with Reporting (SSRS)
- Experience with SSIS
- Good understanding of data and schema standards and concepts
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database Projects in Visual Studio
- Knowledge of SQL Server tools
- Experience with importing and exporting large amounts of data
