Senior Database Developer

We are looking for a Database/SQL Developer in Torrance, CA

• Spearheading the development and upkeep of databases crucial for operating the customer data platform (CDP).
• Crafting and optimizing data operations, ensuring the database functions at its peak performance.
• Aligning with business strategies and translating business intelligence needs into actionable database initiatives.
• Implementing best practices and patterns to enhance the development team's efficiency and success.
• Collaborating with multiple client teams to achieve project objectives.
• Orchestrating system integrations across various projects and products to streamline operations.
• Influencing system design through the identification and recommendation of software enhancement needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in IT service roles.
• Proficiency in SQL language is essential.
• Familiarity with columnar databases and distributed SQL Query engines.
• Proven track record as a Database/SQL Developer.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and resolving database issues.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Strong data analytical skills with the ability to analyze large datasets.
• Knowledge of Python is considered a plus.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $61.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
