Primary Function Designs and maintains databases to ensure integrity, performance, accessibility, and recoverability of data within the information technology environment Establishes database definitions and tables and designs; codes, tests, and implements custom database scripts and formal procedures Defines long-term strategy for historical data retention and archival plan for storage needs with MIS; defines data retention, backup, and recovery

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience Additional Requirements Experience in DBMS design, administration programming, and support Full knowledge of SQL and 3GL, 4GL, or OOGL programming language. Experience in cross-platform networking Technical certification desired Experience in RDBMS-specific middleware tools and utilities Licensure:
- Experience: Five (5) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
