The client provides information technology (IT) services, including business outsourcing, infrastructure technology, and application services. The application service offered by the company includes application development, maintenance, and support. The markets served by the company are financial services and insurance, healthcare, manufacturing, government, transportation, communications, and consumer and retail industries.
Rate Range: $140K-$150K/Annum+ Benefits
Job Description:

• The person will apply his / her expertise to help our clients derive value from their internal and external sources of data. This person must be able to engage with business and IT stakeholders and articulate solutions at various levels up to CIO / CXO level.
• The candidate will be able to provide our clients with a range of advice and expertise and therefore needs to have an extensive background within Data and Analytics that would involve the following areas:
• Solution Design
• Developing Data Strategies, including design of implementation roadmaps and business case justification
• Managing Data Platform implementation projects through the full project lifecycle

• Our senior consultants must also be able to articulate Target Operating Models to our clients that not only include the Technical Solution and Data Architecture but would also cover the proposed organisational structure for the delivery and exploitation of information and the best practice processes that are required to support that organisation.
• Project responsibilities would also include the direction and management of project teams of software and data engineers who would be involved in building out the detailed application and integration designs for client solutions.

• Execution of Data Strategies, either as the lead consultant on the engagement or as a specialist within that team
• Managing teams of Solution / Data Engineers to develop Enterprise Information Management Architecture Designs
• Development of the Enterprise Information Architecture and alignment with Corporate Strategy
• Definition of Enterprise Information Requirements
• Reviewing Corporate Information exploitation, the effectiveness of our client’s Information Systems and gaps between their information requirements and capabilities
• Technical Consultancy: advising clients on aspects of designing and building a Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence solution, including the software and hardware / network components and the range of development and test environments.
• Technical Design Authority / Architect for delivery/build projects using technical skills and including liaison and negotiation with major and niche leading-edge technology suppliers.
• Managing and coordinating the activities of the Development Teams on large Data Warehouse / BI implementation projects

• Experience in the Information Technology industry with recent hands-on experience of client facing Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence development
• At least 10 years’ experience within Data & Analytics and considered as a visionary and subject matter expert for the area.
• A background in SQL and principles of data warehousing
• Experience of ETL design and dev, including Test-Driven development; direct exposure to Talend and / or Informatica would be advantageous.
• Design and engineering experience and across a range of Cloud Data Platforms including Azure, AWS, GCP and Snowflake
• Expertise in Snowflake – data modelling, ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored Procedures and standard DWH and ETL concepts
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Big Data model techniques using Python
• Deep understanding of relational as well as NoSQL data stores, methods and approaches (star and snowflake, dimensional modelling)

• Experience of programming languages including Object-Oriented language (.Net. Java, C, Python)
• GIT experience
• Good knowledge of DevOps / DataOps principles with working knowledge of Docker and Linux
• A track record of successful project delivery that would include:
  • Management of Enterprise Information Architecture Designs
  • Project Management of DW / BI delivery projects using both onshore and offshore delivery teams.
• Experience of working with some of the main vendors of Software Solutions such as Informatica, Teradata, Oracle, IBM, SAS, Ab Initio, Qliktech and Tableau
• A track record of achievement and recognition within the IT industry as evidenced by significant promotion since leaving University.
• A strong academic track record including the achievement of a good honours degree or equivalent.

• Knowledge and experience of the end-to-end Pre-Sales process
• Comfortable liaising with senior client personnel to establish requirements and discuss potential development strategies.
• Able to interpret business requirements in terms of overall architecture, database technology, data management, information exploitation and delivery.
• Excellent communication skills – interviewing, preparation and delivery of presentations and reports
• Experience of managing teams within the consultancy industry.

• Effectively collaborates and communicates with all stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction.
